Khanbogd Soum, Omnogovi Aimag May 30, 2023
The Tripartite Council of Khanbogd Soum (TPC) held its regular meeting on May 30, 2023, at the Citizens’ Development Center in an in-person format. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Khanbogd Soum Administration, herders, and Oyu Tolgoi LLC.
The Council discussed the agenda items in detail and made the following decisions:
- Clarified and specified the projects covered by Clauses B14–B19 of the “Khanbogd Soum Livestock Development Program until 2024”, implemented within the framework of the Collective Compensation Programme outlined in Annex B of the HCRA #1.
- Decided to implement biological rehabilitation works in the Tologiin Tal section as part of the maintenance of degraded roadside areas along the Manlai–Oyu Tolgoi improved dirt road, ensuring active participation of local citizens in the phased restoration process.
- Finalized and approved the Regulation and Guidelines for providing 50% tuition scholarships to students from herder households in Khanbogd Soum.
- In response to the request submitted by Munkh Nogoon Galba NGO to include a representative on the Board, nominated Mr. B. Altangerel as the NGO’s representative.
- Approved training funding for specialists in hygiene, sanitation, and environmental management to be employed at the Inter-soum Livestock Health Diagnostic Laboratory located in Khanbogd Soum.
